|Midlands Border Collie Club have been invited by the Birmingham National Dog Show Society to hold our Championship Show in conjunction with theirs in 2017. After a long discussion it has been agreed that we will do this in 2017 - subsequent years will be decided by mutual agreement. Following the approach by Birmingham we spent a lot of time in discussion with them to get the best possible arrangement, which we hope we have achieved.
The advantage to exhibitors will be 2 sets of CCs in one day, reduced entry fees as our overheads will be lower.
The date of our show is consequently now Saturday May 6th 2017 at Staffordshire County Showground. The schedule can be found at Fosse Data.
Statement from the Chairman:
The MBCC Championship show is scheduled as unbenched.
All dogs entered at Birmingham National will have a bench allocated, there is no provision to bench non-entered dogs alongside entered dogs of the same ownership. If you require this you must enter Birmingham NFC.
For dogs entered solely at the MBCC there will be spare benches in the vicinity of the Nationals Border Collie benching.
We are allocated Ring 6 - this is the end ring in our tent which will leave a large area next to the tent wall to be used to place cages, leaving clear gangways. We now know we have two rings - one ring will be the BC ring at the National and one next to it.
Exit passes for dogs only entered at the MBCC can be collect from our secretary on the day.
Bitch classes will start 30 minutes before the dog classes.
