|Border Collie - Breed Education Coordinator
As part of the Kennel Club's 'Judges Competency Framework' all breeds are being invited to nominate one individual to act as the Breed Education Coordinator (BEC).
This largely administrative role would be ideally suited to someone with knowledge of the breed and other individuals who may be able to contribute to the training of aspirant judges. Knowledge of using spreadsheets and word processing software would be highly advantageous but it is not necessary for the nominated BEC to be a CC awarding judge.
The BEC will be responsible for the administration of judges' training but not necessarily with facilitating or providing it. The role reports directly to the Training & Education Department at the Kennel Club and is independent of the Breed Council or any Breed Club.
A full role description can be found here on the Kennel Club web site
Training for the role will be provided by the Kennel Club at a seminar, to be held at Stoneleigh on Sunday 15th July 2018. Nominations must be submitted to the Kennel Club by 1st June 2018.
Anyone wishing for their name to be considered for nomination for this role should contact the Border Collie Breed Council Secretary, Marion Turner
All applications must be received by the Secretary by Saturday 5th May 2018.
