The Border Collie Convention 2010

The Midlands BCC hosted the first Border Collie Convention on 20th March 2010.

The event was a massive success thanks to the speakers & the committee who had put their time & attention into the event. Various aspects of the BC were covered by 7 different speakers, all of whom have more than 20 years experience in the breed.

The speakers were Mr Ross Green, who opened the event with a 90 minute presentation on "The Border Collie". Mr Felix Cosme & Ms Penny Forster-Cooper took on the "Breeding" section, Mrs Toni Jackson & Mrs Kathy Burnell the "Judging" section and Ms Jo Ratcliffe & Mrs Rachel Spencer the "Showing" section.

The day was rounded off with a Q & A session, with all 7 speakers on a panel chaired by Mr Bob Tunnicliff. The event was hailed as a huge success according to the feedback from the attendees, who felt they were looked after from start to finish.
