Bitches - Bob Tunnicliff
I was honoured to be invited to judge bitches at the MBCC, a club I have been involved with since it began.
Thank you to the exhibitors for a cracking entry. Temperaments I found excellent, legs and feet much improved. Alas many are losing front angulation. BIS was Bekkis Whirlwind, a beautifully presented male. Masculine without coarseness. Strong balanced body. Good legs and feet. Perfect picture in profile. Moved with drive and precision. Both judges agreed he just pipped a very feminine bitch.
Minor Puppy Bitch (12)
1st. Hynes' MASYRRA BAILEY. Shown in clean hard condition. Great shape in profile. Free mover. Head needs time.
2nd. Lucas's ACULSIA CONTINENTAL DIVA. Not quite as settled as winner on the move. Excellent front. Beautiful head & balanced in profile.
3rd. Gifford's BEKKIS CALYPSO AT BRUEWAY.
Puppy Bitch (14)
1st. Bridgeman's TARRYNDEN GENEVIEVE. Very feminine, confidently shown in great condition. Moved well. She went better in the challenge for BPIS. Judges agreed she would be a star.
2nd. Porter's CROXLEA CATALINA. Close decision between first and second, although they differ in type. This bitch can really move with reach and drive. Not quite as feminine as winner. Presentation was excellent.
3rd. Erbe's LOCHEIL TEAM PLAYER.
