The September 2010 Agility Letter

The latest letter (June 2011) from Team Manager Mandi Marks is below:

Dear All,

Just wanted to make sure you had all heard the amazing news, the the MBCC Junior Team won the YKC Team event on the 18th June at Golden Valley Agility Show, qualifying themselves for Crufts 2012.

A massive well done to team members:

Tom Marks (age 14) running his 2 year old BC Snowball on Ice

Jessica Cooke (age 14) running her 6 year old BC Rolo White Sox

Amellia Nicholson (age 10) running her 4 year old BC Edith Weasel Spellcaster

Becky Marks (age 7) runningher brothers dog a 4 year old BC Stillmoor Vimto On Ice

Amber Tunicliffe (age 15) running her 5 year old Schnauzer, Canteba Black Boy Inde Ring

All handlers and dogs performed really well on the day, I continue to agree that the parents have the hardest job watching from the edges of the ring. "Handler of the day" has to be Becky aged 7 years, who was running her brother's BC Vimto. Becky gave an amazing performance gaining her first clear round since she joined the team. Crufts here we come! I hope my nerves will stand it. Whilst all the girls were over the moon to be running their dogs at Crufts, Tom who had borrowed Snowball for this event has some reservations about Snowball running on the carpet at Crufts as she struggles to control her legs on the grass! I am sure it will be alright on the night Tom!

Many thanks again the MBCC committee for their continued support of the YKC team

Mandi
