MBCC holds Championship status in Breed, Obedience and Working Trials

Each year the Midlands Border Collie Club holds:

1 Open Agility Show (January)

1 Championship Working Trial (January)
1 Open Working Trial (mid/late summer)

1 Championship Breed Show (February)
1 Open Breed Show with Limited Obedience (October)

1 Championship Obedience Show (Easter)
1 Open Obedience Show (Easter)

1 Breed Judging Assessment (following the AGM in February)

For Members Only there are:
1 or 2 Utility Days per year
Reduced entry fees at some of our Shows.

SITUATION VACANT!!

Applications are invited for the position of Club Secretary - no experience necessary but applicants must have a keen interest in the breed

The successful applicant will be provided with a dedicated mobile phone & a laptop
Expenses will be paid, plus an honorarium

Apply in the first instance to Chairman Bob or current Secretary Val, who will forward your application to the Committee

BORDER COLLIE OF THE YEAR 2011
Midlands Border Collie Club is proud to be hosting Border Collie Of The Year 2011, this event to take place at the Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh, on Saturday 27th October 2012, following on from our Open Breed Show.
Invitations will be sent to all CC & RCC winners from Boston Championship Show to LKA, 2011. Existing Show Champions are also welcome to enter, but as numbers will be limited, priority will be given to the CC & RCC winners of the year.

MBCC is delighted to announce that we will be hosting the 2013 Kennel Club Working Trials Championships.
Barrie has produced a superb Slide Show DVD of the 2011 Kennel Club Working Trials Championships and we are pleased to be able to offer it, along with a 2nd DVD of all the photographs, in aid of our 2013 KCC Fund Raising. You can find a YouTube preview, along with details of how to purchase, here

The latest Utility Day was held on the evening of July 6th & included a BBQ plus the introduction of a new sport: Rally-o. For Ann Jordan's report on this new discipline and photos of the event, please visit the Utility Certificate page.

Epilepsy Research: Download the Questionnaire & Sample Form. These forms can be used in conjunction with any epilepsy sampling clinic held in the UK. Should you wish to send samples to Finland yourself, please email PBHF Secretary Hilary Kerr for further instructions.

At Blackpool Ch Show, Chairman Bob presented PBHF Chairman Kathie Kinton with a donation of £1000 for Glaucoma research.
£480 was raised from the pig roast at the club's Easter Obedience weekend and the balance came from club funds.
